Follow our live blog for the latest North Devon Council local election results as they come in.

The votes are being counted overnight on Thursday (May 2), with results expected in the early hours of Friday morning (May 3).

Our reporter is live at North Devon Leisure Centre as the results come in today for the district seats. Results for town and parish councils get underway on Friday morning.

North Devon Council looks set to be all change this time around. Council leader Des Brailey is not standing for election and is among the 13 longstanding councillors who have decided not to put themselves forward for election in 2019.
