Will Stowford Farm Meadows be crowned the king of sites in the Great British Park off?
Stowford Farm Meadows near Combe Martin has been chosen as one of the Britain’s 10 best caravan parks.
The site has been shortlisted in the Towergate 2016 Great British Park Off and is the only one in Devon to be chosen by the judges.
The competition is now in its second year and Stowford has the chance to win with a public online vote now open and running until 9am on Wednesday (May 4).
Nominations for parks poured in from caravan fans across the country, with the 500-acre Stowford chosen due to its rural location, set a mile from the nearest main road.
Its facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, horse riding centre, and crazy golf.
The winning park will be awarded the title of Britain’s Park of the Year and also provided with a celebratory fun day - including food and games - a plaque and £1,000 to be spent on the park.
Jo Smith at Stowford said: “As a family run business we’re delighted to have been recognised as one of the 10 best sites in the UK, in the Great British Park Off.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has voted for us. We’re in the process of a major investment program not only upgrading our facilities but also reducing our impact on the environment.
“A feature of this is the biomass boiler installation, utilising solar energy and tree planting by the thousand.”
Emma Watson from Towergate added: “It has been a really tough job to decide on the top 10 but Stowford Farm Meadows really stood out from the crowd and we wish this park the best of luck in the competition.”
