Will you give project for a new North Devon cancer support centre your vote to help them secure the funding from Jewsons?
A North Devon project desperately need your vote to help it win £150,000 funding to build a new cancer support centre.
Cancer survivor and charity campaigner Heather Walters, from Barnstaple, is asking people to vote for the project.
If it wins, building suppliers Jewsons will donate £150,000 worth of building materials to support the centre.
Heather is hoping to project - in the very early stages - will be the first cancer support centre in North Devon.
It hopes to provide free counselling, complementary therapies, a support network where people can come and have a drink and meet people who know what they are going through.
She added: “It will be a sanctuary and a hub of information so people do not have to spend hours Googling services that may or may not be available locally.
“People of North Devon are fed up of using the excuse ‘well nothing is available up here because it’s North Devon, we’re behind the times’. That’s not good enough anymore.”

The deadline for the funding application is Sunday.
