A group of chemotherapy nurses from the Seamoor unit in Barnstaple have raised nearly £3,000.

The nurses ran half marathons to raise a total of £2,948.74 for the Over and Above North Devon cancer and wellbeing centre appeal.

Naomi Clapworthy and Dawn Gray ran the Yeovil half; Wayne Morris and Leah Lovering ran the Southampton half and Jackie Morris ran both.

Wayne said: “We are thrilled that we have raised so much money towards the new cancer centre.

“We know the centre will make such a positive difference to the lives of our patients.

“So far the staff on the Seamoor Unit have raised around £5,000 and we have more events planned.

“If you can get behind us, and give us your support that really would be truly amazing.”
