Game show host attempts to beat the banker for North Devon charity as part of 10th anniversary special.

Noel Edmonds will get the chance to win £500,000 for Children's Hospice South West during a special edition of his show, Deal or No Deal, to be aired on Friday.

Noel, one of the hospice's foundation patrons, chose the Fremington-based charity as part of a 10th anniversary celebrity edition of the Channel 4 show, with comedian Sarah Millican.

Speaking about the special episode, Noel said: "It was an honour to play the game and a real privilege to play for CHSW, which has been such an important part of my life for so long. I just hope Eddie spends the 1p wisely!"

Eddie Farwell, chief executive of CHSW, said: "We think this is a great way to mark the anniversary of the show and we're delighted that Noel has once again decided to support us.

"We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to provide our services, and whatever amount Noel wins will be a bonus."

Watch the programme on Channel 4 at 8pm on Friday.
