TRIUMPHANT North Devon "ironman" Nick Thorn was mobbed by family, friends and well wishers on Thursday night after becoming the first ever to swim solo from Lundy Island to Woolacombe.

Readers can still make donations to his Children's Hospice appeal by going to www.justgiving.com/nickthorn.
