Newport kids ‘crown’ local shops

Crown trail fun to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee

NEWPORT Community School Primary Academy pupils have been ‘crowning’ local shops for a special Diamond Jubilee crown trail.

Year 1 youngsters have designed a series of 20 crowns for Newport Road shopkeepers to display in their front windows.

Each features a letter which once collected can be arranged to spell out a phrase.

Entry forms can be collected from the school office and the winning entry handed into the school by June 15 will win a family location photo shoot worth 200 with local photographer Steve Nuth.
