Bideford and Barnstaple are gearing up for bumper celebrations for New Year's Eve tomorrow (Saturday).

And other towns and villages will also be holding parties and celebrations to see in 2017.

Bideford's will be celebrating 'music through the decades' for New Year's Eve.

There will be thousands of revellers on the Quay enjoying music, entertainment and fancy dress.

After the countdown to midnight, there will be fireworks for all to enjoy.

Barnstaple will be celebrating New Year's Eve with a 'firework show to remember'.

There will be fireworks at midnight and organisers have promised it will be something special.

People traditionally gather in the Square in the run up to midnight and on the Long Bridge to watch the show. The bridge itself will be closed from 11.45pm to 12.15am.

Torrington Cavaliers will once again be celebrating the new year on The Square.

There will be free entertainment for the whole family from 7pm.


Ilfracombe will celebrate in the 'square' by The Sandpiper, with revellers gathering from 11pm.


The Braunton Venue is having a New Year's Eve Party, from 8.30pm, with free entry.

Filleigh and Goodleigh

The village's halls are both hosting a New Year's Eve Dance, both starting at 8pm and with all welcome to go along.
