EYE-CATCHING new signs have been installed at car parks around Ilfracombe to help visitors to the town find their way from A to B.

The nine signs show detailed images of the town, are finished in "Ilfracombe blue" and made of digitally printed toughened glass similar to those used at the Princesshay centre in Exeter.

Community representatives, councillors and businesses were consulted on what was needed in the town and they felt there was an immediate need for signage for visitors arriving by car.

Funding has come partly from the North Devon Plus Joint Delivery Team budget and partly from a direct contribution by Devon County Council.
