A well-known jewellery shop is on its way to Barnstaple. Pandora has started a search for a store manager, assistant manager and sales assistants for a new store in Green Lanes Shopping Centre. The store, which is being labelled a concept store, is set to open this month. Pandoras retail director, Lisa Butler, said We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new store in Barnstaple. As a Danish brand aimed at women of all ages, the new store embodies a Scandinavian, feminine design and acts as the perfect setting for our beautiful hand-finished jewellery. Green Lanes was unavailable for comment. Barnstaples BHS store closed on Saturday, nearly two months after administrators Duff and Phelps announced their intentions to wind down the company. Barnstaples store was one of 30 shops to close on the day, with the remaining stores all set to close by August 20. Last month, Cargo announced the store would continue as a clearance outlet. Clothing retailer Joules also confirmed their position in the High Street, with the store also set to open this month. The retailer moves into the space left by Nationwide, who are looking for new accommodation after merging two stores, with Green Lanes a potential destination. A spokesman for the building society said: Following the integration of two Nationwide branches on the High Street last year, our intention has always been to find larger premises in the town in order to improve the experience for customers and provide more space to access our products and services. We are looking at a new site in Barnstaple, but planning is at an initial stage and it is too early to provide any further detail at this time.Click here to return to our homepage for more North Devon news.
