Plans have been lodged to build 50 new homes in Torrington next to a redundant dairy.
The outline proposals submitted to Torridge District Council also include up to 700 sq m of commercial floorspace and areas of public open space.
The plans are for land off Rolle Road and access will be via the former creamery regeneration development which was granted in 2016.
The new site will sit next to the already-approved development.
The former dairy closed in 1993 and has stood vacant ever since.
Plans already proposed for the site are for 149 new houses, with the agreement the derelict buildings are demolished before any building work takes place.
If the new application is approved, the 2.29 hectare development will be a mixture of two-,three- and four-bedroom homes.
There will also be an area of public open space and the provision of new allotments.
