A new farm shop and coffee shop has opened at Aller Cross in South Molton, marking the company's fifth shop and its first site in North Devon.
Strawberry Fields Aller Cross opened on Wednesday 8 July, at the former North Gate Inn, offering a coffee shop, food-to-go, and a range of homemade produce. The site includes indoor and outdoor seating, a children's play area, and free parking, and is dog friendly.

Bread, cakes and traditional items including pasties, quiches and Scotch eggs are baked daily at the company's bakery in Lifton, using recipes passed down through generations. The shop also stocks locally sourced fresh produce, free-range eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice and butchery products. The range includes items such as saffron buns, scones, teacakes, Belgian buns and lemon drizzle cake, alongside the company's homemade pies, pasties, jams and chutneys.

The shop is open seven days a week from 7am to 7pm, and operates on a first come, first served basis, with no table reservations.

Strawberry Fields Aller Cross is located at South Molton, EX36 3RG.
The new site adds to a growing portfolio for the company, which has its roots in more than 30 years of farming and is run by the Mounce family. Its original and largest site remains the flagship farm shop and restaurant at Lifton, which was recently named National Best Large Farm Shop of the Year 2026, and where its bakery and food production is based.

The company has since expanded with several smaller-format satellite shops. Its Dartmoor site, at Roborough Down near Plymouth, occupies the former Dartmoor Diner and offers indoor and outdoor seating with views across Dartmoor. A further shop operates at Tithebarn in Exeter, close to the M5 at Junction 29, offering a smaller version of the Lifton store's coffee shop, bakery and food-to-go offering. The company also has a shop in Buckfastleigh.
Across its shops, the company's policy on dogs varies by site. At Lifton, dogs are not permitted in the farm shop, restaurant or coffee shop, but are welcome in its Garden Room and outdoor areas. At its Dartmoor, Buckfastleigh, Exeter and Aller Cross sites, dogs are permitted inside and in garden areas, provided they remain on leads.
All of the company's shops operate on a card-only basis.
