The improvements to the park were made possible by developer funding.
Improvements have been made to the children’s play area in Barnstaple’s Pilton Park.
A new spinning tower is among the improvements made to the area, as well as new safety surfacing and re-painted swings.
The improvements have been made with £10,000 of Section 106 funding, which is provided by developers as part of large planning applications.
Councillor Brian Moores, executive member for parks, leisure and culture, said: “It’s good to see the local community benefit from money paid by developers of major planning applications.
Councillor Brian Greenslade, local ward member for Pilton, said: “As ward member I blieve the scale of development Pilton has suffered is unwelcome, however, we have made sure the developer contributions have been put to good use.
“We hope our youngsters will get great enjoyment from this new equipment.”
