PLANS for a new clubhouse for Bideford Cricket Club come before Torridge District Council's planning committee today (Thursday).
The club is proposing to replace its existing clubhouse with a new one, with verandah, and a greenkeeper's storage unit.
Agents for the applicants describe the current building as unattractive and say the proposed replacement is intended to sit more comfortably on the site and present itself as a "village green pavilion."
Northam Town Council has recommended approval, but believes the club should consider including energy and water saving features into the construction.
