THE new chairman of Braunton Parish Council is looking forward to working with and helping both young people in and around the village plus its older population. Councillor Jasmine Chesters has assumed the mantle from outgoing chairman Cllr Sally Smith.

THE new chairman of Braunton Parish Council is looking forward to working with and helping both young people in and around the village plus its older population.Councillor Jasmine Chesters has assumed the mantle from outgoing chairman Cllr Sally Smith."This year, although everyone in the village is important to me, I hope to be involved with the young people of the parish and the older population," said Mrs Chesters, who is also a district and county councillor.As she presented Mrs Chesters with they chain of office, Mrs Smith said her year had been an enjoyable one, with a great deal achieved in Braunton."I wish Jasmine the very best for her year as chairman," she said.
