New bin to tackle Longbridge litter problem

Council joins forces with firm to promote area clean-up.

BARNSTAPLE Town Council has installed a new litterbin to help tackle an increase in littering in the Longbridge area of the town.

The council has worked in partnership with Halfords to site a new bin by the underpass at the bottom of Sticklepath Hill.

Cllr Malcolm Rundle said: It’s fantastic to be able to work with a local business to provide a new litterbin for the local community. Hopefully people will use it to help enhance the local area.”
