New Barnstaple Søstrene Grene store will open next week
Danish retail brand Søstrene Grene opens for business at Green Lanes Shopping Centre next week – with a special giveaway for the first 100 customers
Popular Danish homewares brand Søstrene Grene has announced its new Barnstaple store will open next Friday, October 23.
To mark the occasion, the first 100 customers in the queue for the new store in Green Lanes Shopping Centre will receive a voucher for one of the brand’s woollen throws.
Visitors can also enjoy complimentary tote bags filled with selected Søstrene Grene products, alongside live classical music.
The new store opening time has been publicised as 9.59am.
The Green Lanes store will offer a Scandinavian-inspired range of homewares, kitchen essentials, craft supplies, toys, every day essentials and seasonal décor and will have the signature Søstrene Grene winding layout, complemented by soft lighting and classical music.
The international brand, which has more than 400 stores across Europe, says the new Barnstaple store will offer a welcoming space to browse, find inspiration and explore at a relaxed pace with the brand’s distinctive in-store experience.
René Jensen, head of retail for Denmark, the UK and Ireland, said: “Since opening our first Devon store in Exeter, we’ve been delighted by the response from customers across the county. Barnstaple is an exciting next step in our Devon journey and Green Lanes provides a welcoming setting for our latest store.
“We look forward to welcoming customers through the doors and giving them the opportunity to discover our collections of homewares, craft supplies and everyday essentials.”

The Søstrene Grene brand was established in 1973 and is rooted in the Danish concept of ‘hygge’, which means creating a warm, cosy atmosphere and enjoying the simple pleasures of life with those closest to you.
