Greggs has opened its second store in Barnstaple.
The new bakery was officially opened on Monday by Rufus, the Barnstaple Lions’ mascot.
The new shop, at Unit 1 Pilland Way, offers customers a contemporary food-on-the go experience, with seating available for customers who wish to enjoy their purchases inside the shop.
Twelve new jobs have been created by the new store opening.
The shop will have a range of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as soups and baked goods.
Keiran Kidd, shop manager at Greggs Barnstaple Pilland Way, said: “We’re excited to open our doors and welcome the local community. We hope customers enjoy the wide range of tasty items we have on offer.” Roisin Currie, retail and people director for Greggs, added: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Barnstaple, bringing new jobs to the area and providing both new and existing customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”
