THE first ever exhibition at Ilfracombe's Driftwood Gallery will open this week with a charity auction and be an inspirational showcase for landscapes and seascapes by both local and national artists.
Coast to Coast opens with a private viewing on Friday from 6-9pm and in a continuation of the nautical theme, will donate 10 per cent of all sales on the evening to the RNLI.
The centrepiece of Friday's event in the gallery at 10, The Quay will be a charity auction of an eye-catching original painting) by rising local artist Nikki De Marco, whose image of Ilfracombe Lifeboat returning to harbour is not only striking, but a touch different, too.
The auction will be chaired by the Mayor of Ilfracombe, Councillor Philip Webb and all proceeds from the sale will go to the RNLI..
