AS the climax to a week-long community project, Torridge and West Devon MP Geoffrey Cox joined children from the Ayres Close housing development at East-the-Water, Bideford, in the unveiling of a series of mosaic wall panels.
The community came together for activities to coincide with the National Housing Federation's "Month of Supported Housing Action" and with school half-term week to provide enhancements for their housing estate.
Staff from Sanctuary Housing and Devon and Cornwall Housing Association joined residents and children in the creation of the series of mosaic murals to decorate a wall by the estate's main car park, while others created an organic vegetable garden and hanging baskets.
Bideford Town Council and local businesses helped with finance and materials and volunteers from the Princes Trust helped organise the final day of celebration, which included mosaics and didgeridoo workshops and a barbecue.
