GEOFFREY Cox, MP for Torridge and West Devon, is urging all veterans who are eligible to obtain their HM Armed Forces Veterans' Badges to get in touch and order their badge. The badges relate to the very first Armed Forces Day, which will be commemorated on Saturday, June 27 this year. The MP recently wrote to local councils urging them to get involved in celebrating the day. Any veterans who believe that they are eligible for the honorary badge and have not yet applied for one, can contact Geoffrey Cox who will arrange for them to receive it. Details that will be required to complete the application form will include full name and address, and the details of service. The full criteria for applying can be found at www.veterans-UK.info or from Geoffrey Cox's office on (01237) 459001. The HM Armed Forces Veterans' Badge may be obtained in memory of deceased veterans depending upon circumstances of application.Geoffrey Cox said: "I am already obtaining badges for veterans who have contacted me concerning their interest in receiving this well deserved recognition of their service.
