A MOTHER and her 10-year-old son were taken to hospital following a road accident in Ilfracombe on Monday lunchtime.
The casualties were crossing Slade Valley Road when they were in collision with a green Citroen AX car.
The boy was later released from North Devon District Hospital having suffered minor injuries but the woman was detained due to a fractured leg.
Neither the driver nor the passenger of the Citroen sustained any injuries, and the vehicle was only slightly damaged.
