ILFRACOMBE employer TDK-Lambda UK has announced it bis proposing to shed 18 jobs and put the remaining workforce on short time working for the next nine months.
Managing director Adam Rawicz said that following a reduction in sales outlook the company was in the process of consulting with employees over the proposed redundancies and cut in hours.
He said they were also looking at further cost saving measures such as a reduction in the number of employees working shifts.
"TDK-Lambda deeply regrets the necessity for these actions but believer they are necessary to preserve the ability of the company to recover when economic conditions improve," he said.
