Mop bucket drama for Yelland toddler

Stuck in bucket: An inquisitive two-year-old found himself the centre of attention after his fingers became stuck in a mop bucket.

Fire fighters were called to Ballards Crescent at West Yelland yesterday (Thursday) at the request of South Western Ambulance Service after the lad’s hand became trapped in the strainer of the metal bucket.

The Ilfracombe fire crew – temporarily covering Barnstaple whilst training was taking place – began to cut off the offending cleaning implement when the toddler straightened his arm and the finger popped free of its own accord.
