Money on the Table

BIDEFORD Round Table has money to give away and is looking for people to receive it.

All the proceeds of its fund raising activities are ploughed back into supporting local causes – more than 3,320 over the past year and in excess of 50,000 in the past 10 years.

It has supported such diverse causes as local clubs and groups of all kinds, providing medals for a children’s football tournament and buying and assembling three cots for a local family blessed with the arrival of triplets!

Table president David Leworthy said: “While we cannot undertake to support every request for support, we are keen to receive nominations or requests from individuals or organisations within the local area who feel they would benefit from additional financial support, whatever this may be for. Our aim is to reach those within the local area who do not have the necessary resources to support themselves or from those who feel they are unable to access support from other agencies, particularly individuals or families. We specifically look to provide help to those who are struggling to support themselves through difficult times or who are trying to improve the situation of others.”

If you would like to nominate an individual or group, or are an individual or family who would like to make a request in person, write to Bideford Round Table c/o 26 Green Field Close , Bideford, Devon, EX39 3RY.
