Molly’s bid for Teen Queen title

Barnstaple schoolgirl needs votes to progress in national beauty competition.

A BARNSTAPLE teenager is hoping to make it through to the finals of the Teen Princess UK competition.

Molly Hutchings, 15, was spotted by model scouts during a recent school trip to the Birmingham Fashion Show and asked to audition for this year’s beauty pageant.

The Park Community School student was then invited to attend a professional photo shoot in London and was one of just 50 13-15-year-old girls picked by sponsors to progress to the voting stage of the 2012 competition.

Now she is hoping that North Devon Gazette readers will register their support for her before voting closes at 11.30pm on Saturday. The top two girls will go through to the finals in London in September.

Mum Ann-Marie Hutchings said: “Living in a small area like North Devon compared to larger cities has made it harder for Molly to reach out, but she has worked very hard herself producing leaflets and distributing them, so she will be more than grateful for any extra support she can get.

“We really hope that Gazette readers will vote and help her progress to the final.
