POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of six model railway engines from Braunton Museum.

The theft took place on Monday or Tuesday of this week. The trains were locked in a cabinet and were part of a display telling the history of the old Braunton railway station. They had been lent to the museum by a model railway enthusiast..

Police believe the thief may try to sell the engines locally and would like to hear from anyone who may have been offered one.
