UPDATED: Police continue search for Mr Colling, last seen on New Year’s Eve, as Coastguard teams stand down for the night.

A search is still underway for missing Bideford pensioner Clive Colling.

Mr Colling, 76, has not been seen since December 31.

It is thought he was in Bideford Morrisons yesterday (Sunday) as a receipt dated 01/01 with the time 10.27am was found at his home.

He is normally seen out with his dog but his dog was also found at the house.

Police said they were concerned for Mr Colling due to his age and health condition.

The police helicopter searched in Bideford during the early hours of this morning and the Coastguard helicopter has also been searching the estuary area.

Bideford Coastguard have been searching since 6.30am, and said at around 6.30pm they had been stood down.

Teams had searched the river from the Torridge Bridge up to Torrington and police are continuing their search this evening (Monday).
