POLICE in Barnstaple are seeking help from the public following a house burglary in the town in which Military Service medals of great sentimental value were among the items stolen
They are appealing to the community to try and locate a silver coloured General Service Medal - Northern Ireland and a bronze Bosnia Campaign medal.
Also stolen was a gold 'bolovo' wrist watch with a green and brown face and a gold and platinum finger ring.
The burglary took place between 12.45pm and 1.00pm on Wednesday (June 9) at a property in the Gorwell area, when entry was gained via an insecure first floor window.
