A group of mental health workers are cycling across Devon to spread the word about the county’s revamped service.

Devon Partnership Trust's (DPT) Depression and Anxiety Service has changed its name to Talkworks, with the service rebranding during Mental Health Awarness Week this week.

A DPT Talkworks team of Susie Stamp, Owain Winfield, Nicola Reid, Matty Holgate and Becki Flower set off from Barnstaple on Wednesday morning (May 15), stopping off to talk to the community about the service and riding to each Talkworks team in Devon during the two-day ride, before finishing in Torbay.

The team is raising money for Devon Partnership NHS Trust's charity.

Susie, a business support administrator in the South and West team, said: "I've always had this idea to ride to each team in Devon. With the launch of the new name and Mental Health Awareness Week I thought it would be a good time to take on that challenge."

Talkworks is a free, confidential NHS talking therapy service which aims to give people the tools and techniques they need to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.
