SIR - Further to Mr Lovelock's letter above, I would like to add the support of my family to Caroline Church and her husband, Mike. Without her efforts the Pollyfield Centre would have closed last year. She works tirelessly for this community. Why do we always have to knock someone who tries so hard for us? If Bideford's next Mayor works half as hard for the community as Caroline does, we will be extremely lucky.Helen Drake, Bideford.
