Mayfair flower festival sees the trees for the wood with innovative displays

The Torrington Mayfair Flower Festival took a less traditional theme this year at its annual display in St Michael’s Church
The popular Torrington Mayfair Flower Festival took a different tack this year by leaving the meadows and heading into the woodlands.
Our World of Trees was the topic for this year’s festival at St Michael and All Angels Church in Torrington for the duration of Mayfair.
Alongside the more traditional flower arrangements, there were many displays and tableauxs that brought the woodland into the heart of the church.
These included quotations and sayings, poems, interesting facts about trees and included local photographs and artwork, exploring different aspects and topics of trees and woodland.
The floral exhibition was enjoyed by many people who visited the church over the Mayfair period, with refreshments served alongside a dose of woodland tranquillity.
