Charity event at Green Lanes Shopping Centre in Barnstaple raises £525 for garden appeal.

A challenge laid down by staff at Barnstaple British Home Stores to the Royal Marines has raised £525.25 for the Chivenor Memorial Garden appeal.

Staff at the Green Lanes store invited the Marines to cycle to the BHS store in Exeter and back, aboard static exercise bikes outside their Barnstaple store.

The event was organised by the North Devon Branch of the Royal Marines Association, which together with BHS Barnstaple, would like to thank shoppers for their generosity to the appeal.
