Man treated after Ilfracombe flat fire

The man was found in the smoke logged flat by fire crews on Thursday evening.

A MAN was given oxygen therapy by fire crews yesterday (Thurs) after he was found in a smoke logged flat in Ilfracombe.

Two fire crews from Ilfracombe were scrambled to Greenways at around 6.15pm after receiving reports of a burning smell coming from a property.

They discovered a small fire in a ground floor kitchen involving a cooking pan but the flat was smoke logged.

A man found at the scene was assessed by the crews and given oxygen therapy until paramedics arrived to assist.
