The man in his 40s suffered chest, abdomen and hand injuries, which are not life-threatening, after someone opened fire on him while he was walking home from a night out. The incident happened at around 2.30am, and Devon and Cornwall Police which launched a witness appeal believes it occurred in Oxford Grove. A spokesman said: A local man was shot with an air rifle whilst walking home from a night out. The male, in his 40s, received injuries to his chest, abdomen and hand, none of which are life-threatening. If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information as to who may have done this please call 101 quoting police log number 149 of September 30.
