Man rescued from faulty cherry picker

A fire crew was called as the man was stranded eight metres above ground on the faulty machinery.

THE FIRE service came to the rescue yesterday (Sun) night to a man stuck eight metres above ground in a faulty cherry picker.

A crew from Barnstaple fire station attended the scene in the town in Rose Lane just before 9pm.

The man was rescued using an aerial ladder platform and was returned to the ground unharmed.

The cherry picker had developed a fault was had been unable to descend.
