A MOTORIST is in hospital with serious head injuries after a crash at the notorious Westleigh Junction, near Bideford last night (Monday).

The 41-year-old driver's silver Peugeot Partner was travelling on the A39 from Bideford towards Barnstaple at around 9.25pm when it is thought to have rolled.

A 39-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries and was later released from hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the vehicle driving along the stretch of road to contact the Barnstaple roads policing unit on 08452 777444 quoting log 943 of 10/05/10.
