Man hits boy with learning difficulties outside Barnstaple school

WITNESSES are being sought after an 11-year-old boy with learning difficulties was struck on the head by a stranger as he waited outside his Barnstaple school. The boy was standing near the back of the Pilton Community College bike sheds in Abbey Road bet

WITNESSES are being sought after an 11-year-old boy with learning difficulties was struck on the head by a stranger as he waited outside his Barnstaple school.

The boy was standing near the back of the Pilton Community College bike sheds in Abbey Road between 3-3.15pm on Friday, September 4 when a man with a goatee beard struck him, leaving a bump on the boy's head.

The suspect is described as a white man and was also wearing a hat. He is thought to have driven off in a blue Vauxhall car.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle or the man near the school should contact police on 08452 777444 quoting crime number CB/09/3582.
