AN elderly man was freed from his car by fire fighters after a road traffic collision at Bishops Tawton on Sunday evening.
Emergency services were called to the incident outside Bishops Tawton Service Station on the A377 just after 8.30pm.
Two fire crews from Barnstaple attended and used stabilising equipment plus small tools to release the man, who is from the Barnstaple area, from his Honda Jazz car.
The casualty was taken to North Devon District Hospital by South Western Ambulance Service but his injuries were not thought to be serious.
