Police in Barnstaple are appealing for help from the public after a man indecently exposed himself to two women in the Newport area of the town.The incident took place at around 3.30pm s on Thursday, August 21 beneath Rumsam Bridge, off the footpath at the end of Rock Park.Two local women aged 55 and 28 were out walking when they noticed a man looking around in a strange manner. When they were walking back and passing him again, he dropped his trousers and exposed himself.The man is described as being of heavy build, 5ft 10 to 6ft tall, around 40 years old, with dark brown hair receding on top and with a facial stubble.He was wearing navy workwear trousers, a navy polo shirt with a logo on the back with white and red lettering and a red bandanna around his head. His clothing gave the impression that he was a delivery man or tradesman.Anyone who can help the Police with their enquiries is asked to contact 08452 777 444, quoting crime reference number CB/08/3783.
