A 23-year-old has appeared in court following the death of a woman after a collision at South Molton in July.

A man from Reading has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving in a collision near South Molton.

Jacob Thomas, 23, of Littleoaks Drive, appeared at North Devon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

He was charged with causing the death of Faye Marie Evans, who died on August 9, following a collision on the A361 on July 4 last year.

Thomas was also charged with possessing 68.37g of cannabis with intent to supply and offering to supply cannabis.

Magistrates committed Thomas to Exeter Crown Court to appear on July 1.

He was granted unconditional bail.
