Officers arrested 36-year-old man and locate a ‘large amount’ of stolen property following police dog search.

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man following a series of offences in Braunton on Friday night.

Officers were informed of at least nine incidents including burglary, theft and vehicle offences.

A large amount of stolen property has been recovered following a search by the police dog and local officers.

Sergeant Andy Peel, neighbourhood team leader for Braunton, said: "I would like to thank all the residents that rang in yesterday with information and assisted in this case, which is ongoing.

"The local team, response and specialist officers pulled together to gather evidence, recover property and provide reassurance.

"I would also like to reassure residents that crime levels continue to fall in the village, despite rare and unusual 'crime sprees' such as this, and that working together with the community, we can continue to reduce crime and safeguard our community."

Police are encouraging anyone who has any information that may assist the enquiry to call 101, quoting log 343 of August 8.
