Shed pounds or kick the wicked weed this New Year and help North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal at the same time.

Kick the habit or turn your excess pounds to charity pounds and help the Chemotherapy Appeal this new year.

The Hospital charity has teamed up with the Health Promotion Department to offer healthy resolutions to quit smoking or lose weight and help the appeal at the same time.

The Chemotherapy Appeal Sponsored Slim invites weight-watchers to get sponsorship from family and friends – download a form from the website below or call the fundraising team.

Alternatively, why not Quit For Chemo?

Instead of buying cigarettes or tobacco, save half of the money for yourself and donate the other half to the appeal? A number of free stop smoking clinics are held across North Devon at a variety of venues to help people give up, led by specialist stop smoking advisers.

The advisers form part of the Devon Stop Smoking Service, which is based at the Culm Valley Integrated Centre for Health in Cullompton and is supported by chemists, GPs and dental practices.

Success rates are among the best in the country, with more than three-quarters of those quitting not lighting up within four weeks.

Anyone interested in attending must book by calling 01884 836024.
