MAKE puppets, watch puppets and laugh at their antics at a free family Puppet Fun Day at Ilfracombe Museum on Wednesday, April 9.The event runs from 10am-4pm and features everything you ever wanted to know about puppets, plus some great shows and should appeal to all ages.The programme begins at 10.15am with Art of the Puppet Master and the opportunity to meet David Leech of the North Devon Marionette Company.David will explain how puppets are made and how they move, the art of traditional puppet theatre and let his audience try their hand at operating a string puppet.Art of the puppet Master is on again at 11.45 and there are also three Punch and Judy shows with local entertainer Dave Hendy at 11am, 1 and 3pm.From 2-4pm and running every half-an-hour there will be puppet-making sessions, with tickets available at the museum entry counter. Hurry, because numbers will be limited.The day is made possible with funding from Renaissance South West.
