A South Molton man has been reunited with a lost photo album discovered in a house in Northam - thanks to the help of Gazette readers. The Gazette put out an appeal after the forgotten album was uncovered by reader Jill Adams.Ms Adams was hopeful the rightful owner would be found - and thanks to the story being widely shared on Facebook - he was. Adrian Watton, a lorry driver from South Molton, collected the photo album from the Gazette offices yesterday (Monday) and said he was overjoyed to have found it. He said: I only succummbed to Facebook in the last few weeks and one of the people pictured in the photos tracked me down on there. I hadnt spoken to her for over 30 years and she managed to find me to tell me about the album. Mr Watton said he was shaking with emotion when looking back through the photos, taken in 1973. He said: I think it was in the attic of one of the houses I owned in Northam and I didnt even know that I had lost it. Its just fantastic. Thank you so much to the people who decided to hand this in; they could have easily just thrown it away. Im delighted to have it back.Click here to return to our homepage for more North Devon news.
