An unexpected patient was rushed into first aiders at this years StarTrek Challenge an hour old lamb. Thought to have been abandoned by its mother, the little black lamb was brought back to base camp by walkers taking part in the charity Exmoor trek near Brendon and was soon being expertly cared for by St John Ambulance. With StarTrek you have to expect the unexpected, said event chairman Ann Doody. St John Ambulance did a good job of looking after the lamb a new role for them and a first in 24 years of the event. The newborn has been returned to the farmer and it is hoped it might be named Star Trek in honour of its unexpected adventure.
