STUDENTS at South Molton Community College have been looking to the East after organising their own week of Japanese-centred activities in the school library and drama hall.Activities included a drawing workshop, Japanese language class given by Year 10 student, Ellice Bidgway, and a talk by Japanese animation enthusiast, teacher Marc Torley.College spokesperson Deborah Williams said that Manga and Anime - a style of books and animation originating from Japan -sm was proving very popular with students from all years."The highlight of the week was a sushi-making demonstration and tasting session organised by Year 7 student, Shotsie Buck," she said.
