SALLY Kirkpatrick, Jacqueline Lock, Paula Moores, Shirley Murray, Dorinda Rees and Sandra Richards, all from Barnstaple, have been rewarded for completing 20 years' service with Sodexo, which provides food and facilities management at North Devon District Hospital.
Sally, Jacqueline, Paula, Shirley, Dorinda and Sandra joined more than 100 Sodexo long service recipients from across the UK and Ireland who enjoyed a day of activities in London. The trip began with an awards ceremony where recipients were congratulated personally by chief executive Aidan Connolly, and HR director, Natalie Bickford while enjoying afternoon tea and a river cruise on the Thames.
Following the cruise all recipients took a trip on the London Eye before having a celebratory dinner at Madame Tussauds, where a live band played and they were presented with their chosen gift in recognition of their service.
Sodexo chief executive Aidan Connolly said: "People are at the heart of Sodexo. Our business relies on tens of thousands of talented individuals who provide our customers and clients with exceptional service. This annual event is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for our people and to show just how much we value and appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and loyalty they have shown over the years".
In the UK and Ireland, Sodexo employs 43,000 employees, and provides catering and a range of facilities management services to clients at over 2,300 locations in the business and industry, education, healthcare, leisure and defence sectors.
