The Voice has received an amazing avalanche of donations for its annual Christmas Toy Appeal, way beyond all expectations. Credit: The Voice
The fifth year of The Voice Christmas Toy Appeal has been hailed a huge success as the sheer number of generous donations exceeded all expectations.
The Voice and The Voice 2 in North Devon started their Toy Appeal back in mid-November with 14 locations for listeners to drop off toys, to be distributed to worthy local causes.

Generous listeners of the radio station donated drones, Alexas and more than 2,000 toys, with an estimated value of more than £10,000.
Managing director Jim Trevelyan said the response had ‘extraordinary’. He added: “The people of North Devon have really exceeded everyone's expectations this year.
“These toys are being distributed to so many great causes across North Devon, in the hope of putting a smile on some children's faces that may otherwise not have such a great Christmas.
“Personally, I'd like to thank the staff for getting behind this appeal, the donation stations for their support and NHS Devon for being our overall sponsor. But most of all, thank you North Devon - this is why we are here, to help our community.”
