Pilton Community College in Barnstaple achieved a monumental landmark yesterday (Thursday) as students, staff and parents celebrated its best GCSE results ever.

Headteacher Graham Hill said the school was “delighted to announce that our students have achieved the best academic results in the school’s history, marking a proud and historic moment for the entire school community.

Mr Hill added: “This year’s examination results have surpassed all previous records, with an outstanding number of students achieving grades 4-plus and 5-plus across a wide range of subjects.

“The number of top grades across the full range of academic and vocational courses have also increased.

“This reflects the hard work, dedication and resilience of our students, their parents and carers - and of course, our brilliant team of teachers. We're so proud.”
